Since the unit is designed so that battery pack can be removed thru an easily accessed access port I made a mod to use 12 energy one with just little bit of effort. Unlike a lot of isotope identifiers this one allows messing around with all the settings and if screw up occurs going back to factory default conditions start over.

FYI: this item is an example of not believing what shown on the startup screen because software was clueless about options. The prime example being it shows there is a neutron detector. A read this.

Title sum it up and mouse over photos to see WASP. Questions asking me to do so will go unanswered. Not having a neutron source and mainly using it as an mca that was issue until year after I bought. The battery pack is good for 2 hours and a 2nd weak included rebuilding.
