Review ROCK 0.0.5-1mm Grated Geiger 180 Counter Cpm Source Coarse Dust

The 0.0.5-1mm Grated Geiger 180 Counter CPM (Counts Per Minute) is a high-performance radiation detection instrument designed for coarse dust applications. This device features a 180-degree Geiger-M ller tube, which is a type of ionization chamber commonly used in radiation detection.

The grated design of the Geiger-M ller tube in this counter allows for the efficient detection of radiation particles within the size range of 0.05 to 1 millimeter. This makes it an ideal instrument for monitoring and measuring radioactive dust, particularly in industrial settings or environmental studies.

The counter operates on the principle of counting the number of alpha, beta, and gamma radiation particles that pass through the Geiger-M ller tube. The device is calibrated to provide a count rate in CPM, which can be used to quantify the level of radioactive contamination in the detected material.

The 0.0.5-1mm Grated Geiger 180 Counter CPM is built with durability and precision in mind. It features a robust housing and is equipped with a reliable digital readout display, ensuring accurate and easy-to-understand data. The device is also user-friendly, with simple controls and a clear instruction manual.

In summary, the 0.0.5-1mm Grated Geiger 180 Counter CPM is a reliable and versatile radiation detection instrument, ideal for measuring coarse radioactive dust in various industries and environmental applications. Its grated Geiger-M ller tube, user-friendly design, and digital readout display make it a reliable choice for anyone requiring accurate and efficient radiation detection capabilities.

Pros of buying a 0.0.5-1mm grated Geiger-Muller 180 counter for measuring coarse dust:

1. Sensitivity: The grated Geiger-Muller counter is highly sensitive to gamma radiation, making it suitable for measuring radioactive materials in dust.

2. Durability: Geiger-Muller counters are generally robust and can withstand harsh environmental conditions.

3. Cost-effective: Compared to other types of radiation detectors, Geiger-Muller counters are relatively affordable.

4. Easy to use: Geiger-Muller counters are simple to operate and do not require extensive technical knowledge.

Cons of buying a 0.0.5-1mm grated Geiger-Muller 180 counter for measuring coarse dust:

1. Limited resolution: The resolution of a Geiger-Muller counter is relatively low, which means it may not be able to accurately measure low-level radiation.

2. Background radiation: Geiger-Muller counters are susceptible to background radiation, which can interfere with measurements.

3. Non-discriminatory: Geiger-Muller counters cannot discriminate between different types of radiation, which can be a limitation in certain applications.

Conclusion:

A 0.0.5-1mm grated Geiger-Muller 180 counter is a suitable choice for measuring coarse dust that contains radioactive materials. Its high sensitivity, durability, and cost-effectiveness make it an attractive option for many applications. However, its limited resolution, susceptibility to background radiation, and inability to discriminate between different types of radiation should be considered.

Recommendation:

If you are looking for a simple and cost-effective solution for measuring radioactive materials in coarse dust, a 0.0.5-1mm grated Geiger-Muller 180 counter may be a good choice. However, if you require higher resolution or the ability to discriminate between different types of radiation, you may want to consider other types of radiation detectors. It is always recommended to consult with an expert before making a purchase decision.

These are pebbles, small Rocks, not unlike those pesky ones that get stuck in your shoe and bug you for like five hours until you finally give in and go through the ordeal of removing it. The high count is a both a result of how pancake probes overreact to low energy beta when not energy compensated, and the very high alpha count rate from the uranium. It turns out to be popular all around, and is in limited supply as I don't crush ore to make it a specific size due to my very conservative interpretation of milling laws.

The other vials of ore I have found or sampled from are not even close to this stuff is quite literally 100 times stronger or more of a radiation emitter than the mysterious bottles labeled uranium ore. Feel free to ask questions.

Your counts will vary based on the equipment used. On my g5 fiddler probe, it maxes out the counter at 2,00,000cpm. This isn't a calibration source. It makes experimentation very easy.

On the Oberlin digital counter with an hp 270, it's 10,000cpm. Alpha this is your stuff. Oberlin digital counter with current calibration and all Oberlin dead time calibration constant cs137 normalized voltage stabilized used with a standard 44 9 pancake probe.

Over 180,000 cpm if poured out as measured with a 44 9 static uncombed pancake at 852 volts .

Note to this is not a hazardous material.
